Mango drying is to process fresh mango pulp through appropriate heating and ventilation to evaporate the water, thereby extending the shelf life of mango and making it into dried fruit. Generally, mesh belt or heat pump dryers are used for drying mangoes.
Choose mangoes that are ripe but not overripe. Cut the mango into uniform slices or chunks, ensuring similar sizes to facilitate even heating and evaporation during the drying process.
1.Pretreatment: Select ripe but not overripe mangoes.
2. Drying:
Hot air drying: Choose a mesh belt or heat pump dryer, evenly distribute the mango slices on the drying rack, place them in the drying chamber, and heat them with hot air to evaporate the water.
Microwave drying: Using microwave heating technology to accelerate the evaporation of water, mangoes can be dried quickly.
3. Drying process control: Control the drying temperature and humidity to ensure that the mangoes are not overheated or damp during the drying process. Make sure the mangoes are heated evenly during drying by turning or stirring the mango slices.
4. Detection and storage: Ensure that the mangoes are dried to the required moisture content, usually around 15-20%.
Store dried mangoes in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight to prevent re-absorption of moisture and mold.
